Do you experience neck pain, shoulder pain, upper back pain, or headaches? If you answered "yes" to one or more of these you may suffer from what is known as "Tech Neck". Tech Neck is a term used to describe pain and injuries sustained from looking down at wireless devices, such as cell phones or tablets, as well as poor computer use.
When your head is out over its center of gravity while you are looking down at your phone there is extra stress placed on the posterior musculature of your neck and can cause the symptoms described above. However, you can be suffering from the effects of Tech Neck even if you do not experience the symptoms. With day after day stress to your neck caused by looking down at your cell phone your neck can begin to lose its natural curve, known as a lordotic curve, and misalignment's of the cervical vertebrae can result. It is important to maintain proper posture while using your phone, and your computer, as well as getting chiropractic adjustments to make sure that your neck is aligned. Below are some steps you can take to prevent "Tech Neck" from getting to you!
